D2 Coilovers Problems

Postby scionxbjustin » Wed Jul 21, 2010 9:29 pm

I just installed D2 Coilovers on my box and its making all these clicking noises as I hit a pothole or bump. I heard if you don't tighten the preload or spring tight it will make noise. Is this the noise they speak of? If not please let me know its so annoying and it feels like my cars going to fall apart.

alright,
so that spring shouldnt be loose, tighten it finger tight. should be that purple ring underneath the spring.
make sure the two bottom rings are tight too, set your height and tap a flat head screwdriver in those notches to make sure its tight

When you lowered your car with these did you have a problem with crazy POSITIVE camber?

at first yes, but remember they are slotted on the bottom holes
so push the strut and lift the rotor hub, then tighten the bolts (youll see how it works/moves)
then go get alignment

if youre that low, yea i did, I cut mine off, but not all of it
you need to have at least 1/4 of the panel that connects to the side skirt/towards the rear
